Level 6 (Captain's Club)

Purpose

To further increase recovery skills while making a plant to

Stay in the center, or

Prepare for discharge

 

Goals

To maintain recovery accomplishments

To work on further goals

To continue responsible participation in residential and work therapy based activities

To formalize discharge plans or continue Center program

 

Responsibilities

To continue to participate in prescribed meetings

Minimum of One AA or other Recovery meeting per week

Sunday Worship

To continue satisfactory performance of work therapy assignments

To continue recovery activities

Sponsorship

Meetings

Meditation

Reading

To begin participation in Community volunteer work and Center committee work

To prepare and submit plan for discharge or further commitment to stay in the Center (due at least one month prior to eligibility for the Major's Club)

 

Privileges

Member may sign out for overnight or weekend passes in the special sign-out book, no special permission required

Member is allowed two Weekend passes per month as long as they are NOT on consecutive weeks.

Member may sign out for overnight passes any night (Maximum 3 per week)

 

AFTER submission and approval of a discharge plan:

Member may apply to Vocational Rehabilitation Services for training, testing and schooling

Member may schedule time off from work therapy to seek employment

Member may use Job Services of Florida for assistance with employment

Member may attend technical or higher education classes, subject to scheduling and Center capacity allowances

Member will be assigned as a "Buddy" to newer residents

Member will be eligible for special Captains Club trips and outings as they are arranged by the staff

Should a member choose to indulge in the use of alcohol or drugs, they will lose their membership in the Captain's Club, their card and all privileges of the Club.  They may be asked to leave the Center.
