To give the resident the opportunity to get to know the staff and other residents

To become familiar with the rules and procedures of the facility

To begin participation in the work therapy and other recovery processes.

To develop an understanding of how your life has become unmanageable

To make a decision to change negative behaviors

To admit to and decrease Denial

To participate fully in the program

To demonstrate lifestyle changes needed to maintain sobriety

To prepare for Level 2 responsibilities

Resident will be assigned a "Buddy" to show him around the facility and help him to adjust to the schedule

Resident will attend Orientation Meeting

Resident will attend all prescribed recovery meetings

Resident will memorize

	The Serenity Prayer
	The Lord's Prayer/Our Father
	Step One

Resident will complete "Step One for Addicts" worksheets

Resident will attend Sunday Bible class

Resident will display proper grooming and hygiene skills

Resident will display proper housekeeping skills regarding the facility, his sleeping area, and locker

Resident will meet with the New Life Counselor for an introductory session

Resident will have a positive attitude towards his recovery and be motivated in work therapy
